Place the cartridge on the workbench top down (drum facing up) and so the metal drum axle is facing you. Remove the two screws holding the drum axle. (See Photo 1)

Pull the drum shutter open exposing the drum. Either tape or hold the shutter open using your thumb. Grip the drum by the small gear end, lift and rotate clockwise while pulling the drum out of the bearing end plate . (See Photo 3) NOTE: Be very careful not to catch the large gear of the drum on the corner of the recovery blade. This will damage the blade and cause leaking.

Step 4
Using neddlenose pliers, grasp the metal shaft of the PCR. Carefully lift and remove the PCR. (See Photo 4) NOTE: Clean the PCR using mild soap and water.

Photo 5 shows a reinforcement feature of the cartridge. To remove the cartridge pins, use a soldering iron with a small tip and melt the plastic wall. (See Photo 6)

Once the pins are visible use a long punch or bent extraction tool to push the pins out from the inside on both ends of the (See Photo 7) cartridge.

With the pins removed, separate the two sections. Set the toner hopper aside.

Remove the two screws holding the wiper blade and remove the blade. (See Photo 8)
Step 9
Dump out the waste hopper. Using dry compressed air or a vacuum, clean out the hopper.

Clean the PCR saddles with a swab and alcohol. Add conductive grease to the conductive (black) PCR saddle.

To remove the drum shutter lift the drum shutter arm spring and latch it on the notch of the arm. (See Photo 9)

Take a small flat blade screwdriver and release the clip that holds the shutter arm to the toner hopper. (See Photo 10)

Pull the drum shutter bar out of the positioning slot on the same side of the hopper. (See Photo 11)

Rotate the cartridge 180 degrees. The drum shutter bar on this side of the hopper is keyed. Turn the bar back and upward until the keyed flat piece of the bar is vertical and aligned with the vertical slot on the toner hopper gear housing end cap, then slide the bar out. (See Photo 12)

With a Phillips screwdriver remove the two screws holding the toner hopper gear housing end cap. (See Photo 13) Remove the end cap.

Carefully rotate the hopper 180 degrees. Remove the two screws holding the contact end cap to the hopper. (See Photo 14)

Remove the two screws holding the doctor blade. (See Photo 17) These screws are longer than all the other screws in this cartridge and must be used here only.

Remove the contact end cap. NOTE: Be careful not to lose the white bearing that sits inside the contact end cap. (See Photo 15)

Remove the two white plastic scrapers from the ends of the doctor blade. (See Photo 18)

Clean the old conductive grease from the contact end cap. Apply new conductive grease.

To remove the doctor blade, lift the right side of the doctor blade straight up. (See Photo 19) NOTE: Do not break the alignment pins on the toner hopper. If the doctor blade is not aligned properly print defect can appear.

Lift the mag roller out and away from the hopper.

Remove the mag roller drive gear, stabilizer bar, and mag roller bushings from the mag roller. (See Photo 16) NOTE: Do not lose the two Cshaped inner-bearing attached to the stabilizer bar. Clean the bushings using a soft cloth and alcohol.

Remove the two clear spacers that sit behind the doctor blade. (See Photo 20)
Step 25
Dump the remaining toner from the toner hopper. Using dry compressed air or a vacuum, clean out the hopper.

Clean the toner sensor wire using a swab and alcohol. (See Photo 21)

Fill the toner hopper through the mag roller open. NOTE: Be very careful not to bend the sensor wire
